Glamour Magazine hits news stands today containing an exclusive interview with Cate Edwards, president of the Elizabeth Edwards Foundation.
In the article, Cate Edwards says about her mom, "Her optimism gave hope to millions. But she was also a realist who couldn’t entirely escape contemplating her own mortality, and she explained to me her newly clear perspective. “We are defined by what we do and how we do it,” she told me. She never liked the word legacy; it seemed too much to live up to. She preferred the word story. Mom wanted the story she left behind to be worth telling. And it is.
